I turned 50 in 2015. My dad and his siblings had all died of heart related problems before they reached 50. Working with Shannon as my coach has made a huge difference in my life. Now, I am so much calmer, more relaxed and I’ve lost almost 20lbs and many inches.
Growing up I was never comfortable in my own skin. I hated my freckles and my thick, unruly hair, I never felt skinny enough or pretty enough and thought that because I looked like my dad that it meant I looked like a boy.
When I started, my expectation was to lose weight and fat, focusing on sustainable weight loss. I was looking for a lasting change, not a faster change. I was not expecting to lose eating so much food. It was important to me to have the freedom to decide what to eat.
